I use it in everything that involves beefFeb 22, 2010 Ever since I ran into Tone's beef and chicken bases at a local Sam's Club, and saw that they did not contain vast quantities of MSG, I have been using both of these products in almost every meat dish that I cook. I use the beef base, for example, instead of salt in meatloaf and meatballs, it adds beefy flavor and saltiness at the same time. I use the chicken base when making soup or gravy, once again instead of any salt, and I also spread some of it on the inside of chickens before I put them in the oven to roast. I wish the company made a turkey base as well.
Tone's Beef BaseOct 12, 2009 When I received the products they were all melted and separated and they SMELLED SOUR. I put them in the fridge immediately. The next morning I checked them all out they were all separated with a thin layer of hard white fat on top of each beef. I bought 4 units total. I can't risk it being spoiled. So I tossed it out in the trash where it belongs. Why would anyone take 8 days to ship a perishable food item in 90 degree plus weather?

Beef stock that's perfect for soupFeb 17, 2009 This is the best beef base for making soups that I've run into. It's a staple in my kitchen. I also use it for making black-bean garlic sauce, beef fried rice, and a range of other recipes that are dependent on a quality beef flavor. One 16oz tub contains quite a bit of base; enough to last me about a year.

indispensibleJul 21, 2008 this stuff is amazing -- put a tsp or tbsp in a pot of soup -- or beef stew -- or pot roast and it works wonderfully well. Can't find it in New York City so I have friends and family send it to me. Now that I've found it Amazon, I finally have a source.
